SELF-MASTERY

Interesting lesson today. No big earth shattering moments but for a me a reminder or reinforcement of how I desire to live.
One of the biggest things I find myself doing these days is correcting my language.

Negative speak seems to sneak its way in there if you are not extremely vigilant.
I find myself correcting what I write and turning the phrase and words into the positive now thought process. Easy to do when you are writing, a bit more difficult as you speak.

Yesterday during a conference call with my Communit-E friends I made the statement " in the past",
I actually heard myself as I said it and Jace immediately reminded me that was not a place I needed to go.
They seem so harmless these words but bear a weight too strong not to be dealt with.

Its difficult to begin to think past this, well for me it is.
“The most peaceful people I know have given themselves away… On the other hand, the most miserable people I have known have been self-focused. They worry about getting their share; they evaluate everyone’s acts in terms of how they themselves are affected.”
I wanted to comment on this  quote and talk about what I saw about my old self in it.
I realized that would be revisiting or re stimulating it.. Its a lot of conscious thought to stop these behaviors but I guess that's why its referred to as Constructive Living.
You need to build it and like building a house you need to pay attention to all the details. Forget any of the main foundations and its coming down. Maybe not today but soon.
“That’s the ultimate goal of Constructive Living—to help you do everything well, with full attention.”
Need I say more.
